Today's Prayer - from Pastor Adam

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with humble hearts, giving praise to the only true and living God — the One who hears and answers prayer. Thank You for the privilege and opportunity to call upon Your name. Thank You for Your mercy, Your faithfulness, Your patience, and Your unfailing love toward us. You are holy, righteous, sovereign, and worthy of all honor and praise.

Lord, as we pray, we lift before You the brokenness of our country. We ask for Your hand of mercy and wisdom to rest upon those who rule and govern at every level, beginning with the President and extending to every leader in authority. Grant wisdom, discernment, humility, and the fear of the Lord. Let righteousness, justice, and truth prevail in our nation for Your name’s sake.

Father, we repent for the ways the church has grown apathetic. Forgive us for playing down our call to the Great Commission in exchange for political arguments and distractions. Forgive us for the times we have become more consumed with debate than with discipleship, more passionate about opinions than about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Stir Your church again, Lord. Awaken us to the mission You have given us.

We also repent for being unloving toward our neighbors and unfaithful in upholding the ways of our Lord Jesus. Forgive us for the moments we have failed to reflect Your heart, Your compassion, Your holiness, and Your truth. Teach us again how to love people well while remaining faithful to Your Word.

Lord, we recognize this world’s desperate need for Christ, and we live with anticipation of Your coming again. As darkness increases, help us to shine brightly for You. Remind us that our hope is not in this world, but in Jesus alone.

Father, we pray that we would embrace the call to rise up and share the gospel with this poor, broken, and needy world. We repent of busyness, distractions, complacency, and comfort that have kept us from fully surrendering to Your purpose. Strengthen us, O God, to carry hope, love, peace, and truth into our homes, our communities, and our world until You return.

Let revival begin in us. Let repentance begin in us. Let love begin in us. And let Your name be glorified in all the earth.

Amen.
